Park Rules

For your safety and ours, please review all park rules before entering the park. This will help us ensure everyone is safe and having a good time.  

General Safety Rules

Attire & Entry
  • Arrive in proper swimwear. Only white perforated or swim dri-fit shirts allowed on slides. 
  • No jewelry on slides. 
  • Prohibited attire: speedos, thongs, basketball shorts, denim, sweats, wave caps, do-rags, bandannas, or streetwear. 
  • Swimwear must be worn at the waistline at all times—violations result in removal without refund. 
  • No changing in restrooms. No re-entry once you leave.
Children & Safety
  • Children under 13 must be with an adult (18+).
  • Non-potty-trained children must wear a swim diaper and cover.
  • Only USCG-approved life vests allowed; non-swimmers must be with a swimming adult; no personal inflatables.
  • No running or diving (depth is unsafe).
Prohibited Items & Behavior
  • No outside food, gum, drinks, coolers (exceptions for infants with approval).
  • No glass, weapons, alcohol, smoking, tobacco, e-cigarettes, or lighters.
  • No outside floats, balls, noodles, or water toys.
  • No pets (service animals with approval only).
  • No amplified music.
  • No abusive behavior or profanity—violators removed without refund. 
  • No large events without BREC approval.
Facility Policies
  • All transactions are final; no refunds for closures.
  • Bags are subject to search.
  • No food or drink in pools.
  • Lockers are cleared daily.
  • BREC is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
  • Photos/videos may be used for promotional purposes.
Liability
  • Guests assume all risk for injuries from misuse or failure to follow rules.

Slide Rules

Pregnant guests or those with heart/back conditions should not ride.

Max weight: 300 lbs. Min height: 48".

Pool depth: 3'6" (Gator Bowl: 8'—must be able to swim).

Riding Guidelines

    Ride feet-first on your back, legs crossed, arms folded.
  • Wait for attendant signal before starting.
  • Single riders only.
  • Exit splash pool immediately after riding (no swimming).

Prohibited Actions & Items

  • No running, diving, kneeling, rotating, stopping, or sitting up on slides. 
  • No leaning, sitting, or climbing on railings; no horseplay in line. 
  • No footwear, tubes, food, or drinks.
  • No glasses (sun or prescription). 
  • Proper swimwear required—no metal (zippers, buckles, jewelry, piercings).

Authority

  • Lifeguards and management have final authority on all safety matters.

Shockwave Rules

General

  • Obey lifeguards at all times.
  • This is a strenuous ride with strong, turbulent water.
  • Riders must be in good physical condition. Not recommended for pregnant guests or those with heart, back, neck, shoulder, or joint issues.
  • Parent/guardian consent is given for riders under 18 with wristband purchase.

Attire & Items

  • Remove jewelry, hats, footwear, glasses, and loose items. 
  • Secure swimwear; cover-ups recommended.

Riding Instructions

  • Enter only when instructed by a lifeguard.

Body Boarding

  • Board slick side down; lie on stomach facing flow. 
  • Keep hips at rear edge, legs extended, hands on front rails. 
  • Keep arms and hands on the board; may also ride kneeling.

Flow Boarding (Stand-Up)

  • Board slick side down; back foot near tail, front foot near center.
  • Keep weight on back foot; shift weight gently to steer.
  • Keep board facing the flow; maintain edge control.

Safety

  • Do not jump in or enter at high speed. 
  • If you fall, release the board, cover your head, keep limbs close, and brace feet-first.
  • Do not walk on the ride surface; exit only when stopped on the drain grating and directed by staff.
  • No horseplay or stunts—violators will be removed without refund.

Liability

  • Riders assume all risk of injury from misuse or failure to follow rules.

Clear Bag Policy

 All bags are subject to search upon entry. Exceptions will be made for medically necessary items following search. All bags exceeding 6.5″ x 4.5″ MUST be clear or mesh. All other bags are prohibited from entering the facility. 

Approved Bags

  • Clear plastic, vinyl, PVC or mesh bags that do not exceed 22″x15″x22″
  • One gallon clear plastic zip bags
  • Small wallets or clutch bags that do not exceed 6.5″x4.5″

Prohibited Bags

  • Coolers
  • Luggage
  • Backpacks
  • Camera Bags

The Facility Manager has the final discretion on the enforcement and exceptions to the policy.
